Here’s a workaround for inserting YouTube video into a WordPress blog using the Smart YouTube Plugin now that “short links” are generated for sharing.
I took this video’s short link (http://youtu.be/Pge_r7HFRH8) to the video’s page on YouTube.com then copied the resulting url from my browsers address area (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pge_r7HFRH8). The Smart YouTube Plugin for WordPress works with this url.
